This is the third in The Divine Cities trilogy, and it's just... great. The whole series is great. It's a long time since I've been gripped by an SF book so thoroughly, and now here three come along at once. I'm not going to give any spoilers; you'll just have to believe me when I say the characters jump off the page, the action is satisfyingly thorough and often gory, the world-building is brilliant, and the plot is just complicated enough to keep all its nuggets from seeming too obvious.
   Get all three books and I promise you won't regret it.
