I picked this book up in a secondhand bookshop on Skye. I'd never heard of the author, although judging by the blurb she was quite well known in her time. The book was published in 2000.
   It wasn't quite the tale I'd expected (and probably as you'd expect) from the title. It's a story about a group of people, some holidaying, some not, over a weekend or a little longer. It's very much character driven, and it's very well done.
   I guess it's unlikely you'll find this book any time soon but if you do, it's well worth a read.
