Part of the charm of writing the Witch Street stories contained in Spooky Stories to Read Aloud was inventing links between them. Some of the characters appear in more than one story. Many of the locations do. Some of the stories refer to other stories. And what this means is that I suddenly realised I could draw together several stories into one, and try turning it into a script. Mr Brown Leaves Witch Street is the result. With the benefit of hindsight, I think I probably tried to weave together too many strands into one story. Perhaps one day I will rework the script, or even divide it up into serialised chunks. But I think it is still fun to read, and you might also have fun spotting the original storylines weaved around Mr Brown, the headteacher at the haunted school on Witch Street.
