This is the third of the Shadows of the Apt series. I thoroughly enjoyed the first two, so Blood of the Mantis went on my Christmas list.
Did I enjoy it? Yes, I certainly did. The characters and the plot roll happily along. There aren't twists, exactly - it's not that sort of book - but there's an awful lot happening and as a reader you don't have much of an idea where a particular plot thread is going to end up. Until you get there and you think, whoa, what a good idea.
The bad news is that there's... um...ten books in the series. I may have to visit my bank manager.
