Knocking down Ayr

It seems to be common knowledge that Odeon Ayr is to be demolished. I didn't think that was likely, as it's a listed building, but there you go.
Burns House, next to the Odeon, has already been demolished and replaced with a small walkway and some grass. Old buildings at the foot of the ton have been demolished and replaced with a sort of sitting/walking area and a wooden construction apparently available for hire for events.
And the other day someone told me that Ayr Police Station is also to be demolished, with the police rehousing themselves into Newton House (which was once a school and then became Council offices).
I'm becoming worried that someone will come to knock down my house. It's old enough, after all.
